1. Purpose and Scope

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies, local storage solutions and similar technologies Axion uses on its website and in the Service. It should be read together with Axion's Privacy Policy.Privacy Policy

Some technologies are necessary for the Service to function securely. Optional analytics technologies are used only in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small data files stored on or accessed from a User's device. Similar technologies may include local storage, software identifiers, pixels or comparable browser and application mechanisms.

These technologies may be used to maintain a session, remember settings, protect the Service, measure product use or perform other functions described below.

3. Categories Used by Axion

Strictly Necessary technologies are used for functions such as authentication, session management, security, fraud or abuse prevention, load balancing, essential preferences and remembering privacy choices. Where applicable law permits, these technologies may operate without consent because they are necessary to provide the requested Service.

Analytics technologies may be used to understand feature usage, performance, errors and product interaction. Where prior consent is required, analytics is activated only after the User has given the relevant consent.

Axion does not currently describe a separate advertising or behavioural marketing cookie category . If advertising, retargeting or materially different marketing tracking is introduced, this Policy and the consent mechanism must be updated before such use.

4. PostHog Analytics

Axion may use PostHog for web and product analytics. Depending on the production configuration, PostHog may process event and feature-usage data, page or screen interactions, timestamps, technical browser or device information, pseudonymous identifiers and limited Account-related metadata.

Axion's analytics configuration is not intended to collect the full text of Chats, Inputs, Outputs, documents, Connected Service data, passwords, secrets, authorization tokens or other sensitive content as ordinary analytics data.

Autocapture and Session Replay are treated as separate higher-detail analytics capabilities. They may be enabled only after the production configuration, consent requirement, masking, exclusions, access controls and retention have been reviewed.

5. Consent and Preference Management

Where consent is required, Axion provides an appropriate mechanism through which the User can accept, reject or manage optional technologies. Optional analytics must not be treated as accepted merely because the User does nothing or because a category is pre-selected.

Refusing optional analytics does not prevent use of Service functions that do not require those analytics technologies.

Where technically applicable, optional analytics is not loaded or activated before the required consent is given. The User may withdraw or change consent through the available cookie/privacy preference controls.

6. Current Cookie and Technology Register

Technology / ProviderCategoryPurposeDurationConsent
Axion authentication / session technologiesStrictly NecessaryAuthentication, session continuity and secure Account access. For the duration of the session or for the period necessary for secure authentication. No consent is required where the technology is strictly necessary under applicable law.
Axion security / privacy preference technologiesStrictly NecessarySecurity controls and remembering cookie/privacy choices. For the period necessary for the relevant security or privacy preference, or until the preference is changed. No consent is required where the technology is strictly necessary under applicable law.
PostHogAnalyticsProduct analytics, feature usage, performance and error measurement.Until the retention period configured for analytics expires, or until consent is withdrawn where the processing is based on consent.Consent is required where applicable law requires it.

7. IP Addresses, Identifiers and Data Minimisation

Depending on configuration, analytics may involve IP addresses, browser/device information, session identifiers or pseudonymous identifiers. Axion seeks to reduce identifying data where the analytics purpose can reasonably be achieved with less information.

Pseudonymised data remains personal data where a person can still be identified directly or indirectly.

8. Retention

Cookie and similar-technology retention depends on the technology and its purpose. Session technologies may expire when the session ends, while persistent technologies may remain for a defined period or until deleted.

Analytics retention is configured consistently with the purpose of the processing and Axion's Privacy Policy. The final public Cookie Register must state the actual duration of each production technology.

9. Browser and Device Controls

Users may also be able to delete or block cookies and local storage through browser or device settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.

Axion does not state that it supports Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control or another browser privacy signal unless the relevant behaviour has actually been implemented and verified.

10. Third-Party Technologies

Where a third-party provider supplies a technology used by Axion, that provider may process data in accordance with the role and terms applicable to the relevant processing. PostHog is the principal analytics provider used by Axion.

Use of a third-party technology does not mean that the provider receives all User Content or data from unrelated Axion functions.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

Axion may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, purposes, providers, consent requirements or applicable law change. The current version and effective date will be made available with the published Policy.

12. Contact

For privacy questions concerning cookies or similar technologies, Users may contact Axion at support@axionaiapp.com.
